Specialist in Paediatric Dentistry

Emma is our in-house Specialist in Paediatric dentistry and focuses her care on improving the oral health of our younger patients. She has extensive experience in managing dental trauma, dental decay, and cosmetic treatment in children.
Emma has a particular interest in providing care for children with developmental conditions such as Molar-Incisor Hypomineralisation (MIH), Hypomineralised primary molars, and Hypodontia.
She also has extensive experience in providing minimally invasive dentistry such as Hall crowns, selective caries removal, and Silver Diamine Fluoride.
She is adept at behavioral management techniques for anxious children and qualified to provide inhalation sedation (happy gas).
Emma qualified from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne in 2009 and was awarded the Diploma of Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgeons at the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2011.
Emma completed her Specialist training between King’s College Hospital in London and the Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals culminating in a Membership in Paediatric Dentistry of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow.
Emma was awarded an Honorary Lectureship at the Royal College of Surgeons of England and continues to teach dentists locally and nationally and has had several papers published in international scientific journals.
Outside of work, she spends most of her free time walking in the Surrey and Sussex countryside with her family and keeping her young children entertained.
