Suitability for treatment is determined after a facial consultation with our Dentist and Aesthetic Practitioner, Dr Nina Kelman.
Anti-wrinkle treatments are contraindicated when pregnant, breastfeeding, or if you have a neuromuscular disease such as Myasthenia Gravis.
It is applied directly into the skin and temporarily causes relaxation of the facial muscles by blocking neuromuscular junctions and helping to iron out the wrinkles on the face.
There may be some short-lived swelling and redness. Rarely, some people get a mild headache, which resolves after a few days.
We advise you to exercise your treated muscles as much as possible for a couple of hours after treatment to optimise your results. It is best to stay upright for a few hours, avoid exercise, and excessive pressure on the treated areas for a few days, i.e. when cleaning your face.
